Passing of Mike Hounslow
Oct 1, 1939 – May 27, 2021
Mike didn’t actually retire from CPS, but he served long enough to be a full member of the CPVA. Mike and Gord Scott were longtime friends for many decades. Just a year or two after Gord was hired by CPS, Mike was bagging groceries when Gord suggested he apply to the Calgary Police Force. That was in 1960 and a few weeks later, Mike was on the job.
After Mike left the force, he lived in Victoria, Cochrane and back to Calgary where he passed away from lung disease.
There is no word of a funeral as yet, but when more information comes to light, I will pass it on. Sorry, but no photo is available.
