Hello everyone, this update is from Debbie Webster:
“Tony has been relocated out of SHC ICU to Peter Lougheed Vent Unit - considered a ‘transition’ to prepare him for the Fanning Centre. It is expected that he will move there later this month.
We are casting the net (so to speak) to find out if anyone can recommend a Physio Therapist who will come out to provide some Physio Rehabilitation exercises as it is not provided at the PLC nor the Fanning Centre. AHS has suggested we try to source this service and bring them onsite for him. I am hoping that we can continue with progress he’s been making - he recently sat 20 minutes unsupported in his wheelchair while doing some leaning and shoulder work! Evidence that some muscle-nerve engagement is happening.
Tony wants to let everyone know how much he appreciates all the messages of well-wishes, care, concern and support. We still have a long way to go on this journey and while we aren’t sure where it will take us, we do know that we have wonderfully, strong companions along the way. Thank you!”
